A few years ago, I decided to put a Corvette motor in my 1993 four-banger Jeep Wrangler. Right off the bat, I realized I was going to need much more than my Craftsman wrench and screwdriver. Making a machine like this run was going to take very specific tools for very specific specifications. Each head bolt had to be torqued to the perfect tolerance. The slightest scratch, or scoring, putting in the new cam could reek havoc. I think I spent more money on good tools than I did on the Jeep when it was new. We do the same thing with our bodies.
